It's Halloween Swap Time

My favorite time of the year. Halloween Costume Swap! I sent out my swap item 2 days ago for the AG Playthings Swap and once the new owner receives it, I will post a picture. I am also part of the swap on the AG Dollhouse board. I have some more time to get that one ready and then I will post photos once that person receives it too.

She's Done!!

Wow, 3 posts in one day! I'm on a roll! LOL While I haven't been posting blog entries for a bit, I have been keeping busy. I did do a few other things than what I am posting about today, but I will post those later. I finally finished Fairy Roses by Mirabilia. She took longer than expected. It is hard to sit and cross stitch for hours at a time now with my back injury. And with my stomach issues as well. But I am so happy that she is done.

I Know I've Been Away

Sorry to be MIA lately. My kids have been off for summer and still have health issues, but they are getting better. We now know whatever is going on, it is my stomach. I have been put on Nexium and it seems to be working. Aside from the nasty side effects the first week I was on it, things have calmed down.

I have also been diagnosed with sleep apnea. It should have been diagnosed about 16 years ago, but now I have to get an A-PAP machine. They are more expensive then the C-PAP and I don't need a continuous flow of air, but different pressures of air for different parts of sleep. Now, maybe I might have a little more energy during the day to exercise and get some of my weight off. Haven't really been doing any exercising as I am too exhausted, which has been part of my nasty cycle of being tired, so I eat to get energy, but it doesn't work, so I eat some more, than gain weight and the cycle continues. My chiropractor (who is so good, he should have been an MD) says that once I get my machine, I will notice a difference and my energy will return so that I can do something about my weight.

My daughter's 9th birthday was on the 20th of August and she wanted an AG of her very own. We got her one, and hubby allowed me to get one too!! What a keeper. I have been wanting a #26 for a while now. I named her Esther Orchid.

I will be participating in any and all of the Halloween swaps if there are any. They are my favorite ones to join. I love the colors of Halloween and it doesn't hurt that my birthday is November 1!

Blah

I haven't been around lately, I know. I have been having issues with having a tooth pulled. The dentist attempted to remove it and the freezing didn't take, so I had to go back a week later and be knocked out for them to remove it. Now, I have the flu, so I have not been able to get much of anything done.

I did start on crocheting a Bugs Bunny stuffed animal for my daughter. I am still cross stitching Fairy Roses and will post pictures soon.

Today is my 12th wedding anniversary. We will be celebrating next week as I am still sick and we are low on funds.

Bad Tooth

Well,I have had major problems with my back molar. Not wisdom teeth, as I will never get them. On Thursday, went to a dental surgeon, as my dentist thought it would be better to see him as my roots are crooked, and he tried to pull it out without success. He froze it, cut the gums and drilled a bit, and I felt the whole thing. Now, I have a swollen face, can't chew, and have to wait until next Thursday, so he can sedate me and pull it. The only upside to this is, since I can't eat much, I will lose some weight! I will let you all know what happens.

Nellie is here!

Wow, 2 posts in one day. I'm on a roll! I get productive when the kids are gone and the house is quiet.

I received Nellie yesterday. I bought her from a member of one of the boards I frequent. She is customized a bit and gorgeous! She is the one doll I have wanted since I started getting interested in AG dolls. Unfortunately, I started after she was retired/archived. The only customization is her freckles were removed. I think she looks very sweet.



She is already very loved. Thank you to Stephanie from Zeebeedesigns for letting me buy her Nellie.

Huge order from Elmore Pisgah

Well, I had to place an order. They had reduced their prices so much, I just had to order. I got tons! First is the entire order.



I ordered a 2 pound bag of whatever they want to send me. This bag actually has all worsted cotton. The dish clothe cotton.



Then I ordered rayon chenille. It is hard to find and I love their colors. I did find another company in Canada that carries chenille, but not ombres.



I also ordered some perle cotton. Just a little.



Last but not least, size 10 crochet cotton. I do doll clothes and it's hard to find the nice colors here.



On a final note, I had emailed Spinrite about not discontinuing the chenille line and their reply was that they were unsure if they were going to discontinue anything. The letter I received in my order was that they were in fact discontinuing the crochet cotton and the chenille.

Yarn Purchase

Just made a huge order from Elmore Pisgah. They just reduced their prices again, so had to go for it. I was going to make an order before, but ran into some finance issues. But, at those prices, I just could not resist. I will post a pic when it comes in. :)

AG Fans Valentine's Swap 2011

I participated in this year's Valentine's Swap on AG Fans Message Board. I will upload the photo of the item I sent later. For some reason I thought I already did. This is the outfit I received. I love it! My custom Kirsten renamed Kayliss is modelling. It is from agmom2allitori. Her daughter made the headband. It has lots of ruffles and fun cotton print fabric. Thank you!!

Very Sad Day

I just found out from Bizzy Crochet Blog that the wonderful company Elmore Pisgah who carries the best chenille has been bought out by Spinrite. While it is good that a Canadian company is getting it, I am afraid that the product line will be lost.

I wasn't sure where to write to the company, and couldn't find an email address for Spinrite, but since they own Bernat, I wrote to them and asked them to forward it to the proper people. Christmas Loot

Hubby was great to me this year. He got me Ivy with her accessories, a wig brush, Julie's bunny Nutmeg, Fiesta picnic set, Holiday accessories set and Ivy's New Year's outfit. I have to send the brush and Nutmeg back as hubby mistook Julie's accessories on my list with her bunny. I already have both. :)
